I was born in 1962 on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border hamlet of East Dean but lived in the Hampshire village of Lockerley from the age of eleven.

I went to school at Lockerley C of E Primary school and Test Valley Comprehensive and I completed vocational courses at Salisbury College of Art and Technology and Southampton Technical College to qualify as a JIB indentured Approved Electrician.

I have been married to the multi-talented and infinitely patient Christine since 1995.

Whilst having no artistic qualifications I have always been a keen amateur and have coupled this with my lifelong, equally amateur, interest in entomology and herpetology to produce a series of images of creatures that I feel have an unfair reputation as 'creepy crawlies'. I truly believe that these animals are as fascinating, interesting and as beautiful as the more traditionally portrayed wildlife of other artists.

Apart from painting I also dabble in graphic artistry in designing logos/badges for local football clubs and for merchandising on two e-Shops I run. Further to this I have designed and authored two local football team websites.
